The course aims at familiarizing students with the main philosophical problems in the foundations of cognitive science, as well as the conceptual tools and empirical methods devised by scientists and philosophers in order to solve them. Students will learn about - and learn to question - classic theories of perception, action, consciousness, reduction, and explanation in the philosophy of cognitive science.
