Learning objectives
The teaching purpose is:
- To allow the student to reach a level of adequate autonomy and security in performing standard surgical procedures.
- Learning the execution of echocardiovascular examination
- Learning the working principles of PM and ICD
- Knowledge and detection of remote and in-hospital cardiac monitoring
- Knowledge of extracorporeal circulation techniques during thoracic surgery procedures.
- Knowledge of the main interventional cardiology procedures and invasive diagnostic procedures

Expected learning outcomes
- Execution of procedures of low and medium complexity of Extracorporeal Circulation applied to the Cardiac Surgery of adults.
- Ability to recognize the main anatomical structures and the information that can be acquired with the ultrasound examination
- Knowledge of diseases related to cardiac disorders and management of the devices used in their treatment
Knowledge of the clinical indications for the main interventional procedures with knowledge of the indications and the material used.
