Structural Analysis I
A.Y. 2025/2026
Learning objectives
The course sets as its main objective the transmission of a modern method for the detection and interpretation of geological structures.
The learning objectives are as follows:
1. Reading and interpretation of geological-structural maps.
2. Application of modern techniques for the detection, interpretation, and description of fragile and ductile structures based on field activities.
3. Application of modern techniques for the detection, interpretation, and description of fragile and ductile structures based on well logs and cores.
4. Use of major applications for the collection, representation, and interpretation of structural data.
5. Presentation and discussion of structural data and the development of basic geological-structural reports.

3. Application of modern techniques for the detection, interpretation, and description of fragile and ductile structures based on well logs and cores.
4. Use of major applications for the collection, representation, and interpretation of structural data.
5. Presentation and discussion of structural data and the development of basic geological-structural reports.
Expected learning outcomes
1. Independence in reading, detection, collection, and interpretation of geological structures in both mono and poly-deformed terrains with low complexity.
2. Acquisition of key techniques for digitalizing structural data.
3. Ability to present, describe, and discuss the structural setting of terrains with low deformative complexity.
