Learning objectives
The course provides the student with the knowledge of the main concepts of contemporary constitutionalism and Italian public law (sources of law, constitutional and administrative organization of the State and public bodies, judiciary, rights of the citizens), contributing the basic training offered by the degree course in the legal field.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will have a basic knowledge and a clear understanding of contemporary constitutionalism and Italian public law (sources of law, constitutional and administrative organization of the State and public bodies, judiciary, rights of the citizens).
Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will be able to apply the knowledge acquired to analyze the dynamics of contemporary constitutionalism and the framework of Italian public law.
Making judgements.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to elaborate personal thoughts on the main issues and cases related to contemporary constitutionalism and the Italian public law.
Communication skills
At the end of the course, the student will be able to expose the main concepts of constitutionalism and Italian public law with proper legal terminology, systemic thought, and logical reasoning both to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
Learning skills
The student will develop the learning skills necessary to undertake further studies in Public Comparative Law, International Law, and European Union Law, with a high level of self-sufficiency and self-confidence.
