Physiopathology and Biological Basis of Sports Rehabilitation

Learning objectives
The course provides skills in the application of rehabilitation (return to play) following sports injury and basic notions of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying medical problems that can occur in sports.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will acquire a basic knowledge in morphology and pathophysiology of common, acute disorders of the bone, ligament capsule, muscles and tendons, as well as chronic conditions due to functional overloading during sports movements. Students will acquire knowledge of the role sports can have in pathophysiological processes leading to common sports-related conditions.
