Learning objectives
This course has the goal to provide students with basic notions on the analysis and interpretation of organizational phenomena and organizational design across all kinds of organization by addressing the evolution of organizational design and exploring the most recent approaches to design.
Expected learning outcomes
By completing this course students shall know the basic concepts and tools for organizational analysis and design, like job, task, process, structure and be able to recognize the dynamic connections between them in organizational design actions.
The students in the analysis of an area of the organization shall be able to identify correctly the different components and formulate a preliminary diagnosis as well as produce simple descriptive documents (i.e. job description and flow chart)
Finally, the students will be able to evaluate the functionality of an organization and its parts, adopt an adequate lexicon and develop self-reflection skills.
