Learning objectives
The purpose of the course is to introduce the main principles of medical oncology and general surgery, clinical manifestations and related diagnostic procedures, with a focus on the profession and practice of dietitian. The course aims to know interactions between pathology and the possible nutritional consequences, to find the nutritional corrective actions; know physiopathology and describe the dietetic-behavior action specific for patient and for the possible disease.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will know bases of main oncological and metabolic diseases with particular attention given to related nutritional requirements and the surgical approach to the treatment of obesity.
