Learning objectives
- Develop an in-depth understanding of contemporary theatrical theory and practice at an international level.
- Critically analyse plays and related literature in their original languages, taking into account historical, cultural, and theoretical/aesthetic contexts.
- Incorporate methods of research and analysis to produce original written work at both academic and creative levels.
- Demonstrate skills in academic and creative writing, using different styles in Italian or English.
- Present and defend their research and arguments orally in a clear and convincing manner.

Expected learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Design and complete an original thesis that demonstrates research and critical analysis skills in the field of theatre, arts, and literature.
- Develop writing and presentation skills and engage in constructive discussion about their research work.
They will also acquire:
- The ability to integrate interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches, highlighting connections between theatre, the arts, and other forms of cultural expression.
- Critical tools for evaluating the artistic, cultural, and social dynamics of live performance.
- Autonomy and responsibility in managing their dissertation project, meeting deadlines and academic requirements.
- Design and complete an original thesis that demonstrates research and critical analysis skills in the field of theatre, arts, and literature.
