Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with in-depth theoretical and methodological knowledge in Spanish Literature produced by authors of different periods, in order to consolidate and deepen the skills of analysis and critical interpretation of literary texts. Particular attention is devoted to the recoding of literary works in other forms of artistic expression (such as cinema, television, theatre, comics, multimedia performance) or hybridisation with them, highlighting the interaction between the languages of different media, each with its own semiotic conventions, and the role of intermediality in the reception of the original text.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding: methodology of literary text analysis and critical theory; political, social and editorial contextualisation of literary products and their recoding; concepts of intermediality and transmediality; tools for analysing the media involved in the course.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: in-depth analysis of literary texts and ability to assess its implications at all levels, including its possible exploitation for teaching purposes; critical comparison of artistic products in different media, detecting the specific value, the reception dynamics and the social impact of each of them; awareness in the use of Spanish terminology related to each context.
