Literature, Arts, Media (Hispano-American)
A.Y. 2025/2026
Learning objectives
The course offers an in-depth overview of the main cultural productions and practices in the different Latin American contexts, with particular attention to the relationship between aesthetic forms and politics, between texts, literary, artistic and intermedial, and historical-political contexts of reference. The lectures are seminar-based and adopt the interdisciplinary approach of cultural criticism. The aim is to provide highly innovative tools and models for the analysis of artistic, literary and intermedial structures and forms, with particular attention to the problems of intercultural and intersemiotic translation. Given the nature of the teaching, which is part of an international collaborative teaching project in synchronous mode and includes co-teaching presentations of the contexts and main theoretical debates by the lecturers and peer-tutoring laboratory sessions, a good command of Spanish is required.
Expected learning outcomes
