Italian Political System

This course aims to provide knowledge about the Italian political system, from 1945 up to date, tracking its evolution over time. The course will combine aspects related to political science, history, constitutional law and analysis of public opinion, with a focus on the role played by political parties and other political actors. The course will also providing basic knowledge about the techniques to estimate the positions of political actors in the Italian case

At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the main features of the Italian political system. They will be able to debate around primary concerns and formulate scenarios. Finally, students will also learn how to analyze Italian politics taking advantage of existing empirical data and basic techniques that allow to estimate the positions of political actors in the Italian case
