Ecoparasitology and Interaction Between Domestic and Wild Animals

Learning objectives
The aim of the course of "Ecoparasitology and Interaction between Domestic and Wild Animals" is for students to develop knowledge and understanding regarding the transmission of parasitic infections between wildlife and domestic animals.
Expected learning outcomes
1. Knowledge and understanding: the student, at the end of the course, will have to demonstrate knowledge of the mechanisms of transmission of parasitic infections between host populations.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding: the student will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding useful for implementing effective prevention and management measures.
3. Making judgments: the student must demonstrate the ability to critically present the information acquired. To his aim, specific analyses of case studies (eg during field visitis) will be proposed.
4. Communication: the student is expected to use scientifically appropriate language, in particular terminology referring to parassitology applied in livestock and wildlife.
5. Lifelong learning skills: the student must gain the ability to use acquired knowledge to interpret new scenarios on the interaction between livestock and wildlife populations.
