Earth Physics Laboratory
A.Y. 2025/2026
Learning objectives
The objective of the Laboratory is to provide basic operational knowledge on the acquisition, processing and interpretation of seismic
wave recordings produced by earthquakes and environmental noise. The methods for the measurement of earth surface deformations
with satellite techniques (SAR), in particular for the construction of the co-seismic deformation surface, are also presented.

Expected learning outcomes
The student will be able
1. to read and understand scientific papers and books which the themes treated during the lectures;
2. to read and evaluate technical reports for practical applications of geophysical techniques;
3. to deal with problems related to process phenomena (mass, energy, momentum, etc.) with a critical view.
