Learning objectives
The course aims to:
· Provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the sources, legal principles, and key rules that characterize construction law.
· Stimulate the ability to analyze and evaluate relevant public policies in the construction sector and their impact on the territory.
· Teach students to distinguish between the various levels of urban planning provided by state law and describe their interaction with regional models.
· Examine the mechanisms that regulate building activity, as well as the legal treatment of violations in construction law.
· Deepen the legal role of urban regeneration and the regulations that govern it.
· Analyze the different stages of public works realization, from location and programming to land expropriation, design, contracting, and execution.
Expected learning outcomes
1. Knowledge and ability to understand
· It is expected that students demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles and key rules of construction law, with particular focus on urban planning, building activity, and public contracts.
2. Applied knowledge and understanding skills
· It is expected that students demonstrate the ability to apply acquired knowledge to analyze concrete problems in the construction field, using a professional and multidisciplinary approach.
3. Autonomy of judgement
· It is expected that students demonstrate the ability to formulate autonomous and critically reasoned evaluations on public policies related to construction.
4. Communication skills
· It is expected that students acquire the ability to communicate the key concepts of construction law clearly, as well as identify problems and propose solutions to both specialist and non-specialist interlocutors.
5. Learning skills
· It is expected that students have developed the ability to independently deepen developments in construction law, both in terms of regulatory changes and jurisprudence.
