Learning objectives
The Corporate Finance course aims to provide students with analytical knowledge of the main issues related to the financial management of companies. In particular, the course aims to:
- Provide conceptual and methodological tools for the analysis and management of corporate financial decisions
- Develop the ability to evaluate corporate economic and financial performance through balance sheet analysis
- Understand the principles of investment evaluation and financial structure decisions
- Acquire skills in working capital management and financial planning
- Introduce the basic concepts of risk and return and their application in corporate choices
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
· Describe the main concepts of corporate finance, including theories of value, risk and return
· Identify the main sources of corporate financing
· Estimate the cost of business capital
· Evaluate investment projects using NPV and IRR
· Develop comparative analysis of investment and financial decisions
· Calculate and interpret key financial indicators to evaluate the economic-financial profile of companies
