Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will:
Know the therapeutic procedures for administering drugs and monitoring relevant clinical parameters.
Acquire knowledge and methods for managing nursing care, from data collection to the assessment of evidence-based actions and results, to persons with biophysiological, pathophysiological, psychological and socio-cultural signs and manifestations related to the surgical diseases of highest incidence and prevalence on the territory, according to the national healthcare plan.
Know the diagnostic procedures for the preparation of the patient, the management and monitoring of related parameters of relevance.
Recognize and alleviate the suffering of the person affected by pain from different physical, psychological and socio-cultural points of view in order to improve quality of life.
Acquire the knowledge and methods for managing nursing care, from data collection to the evaluation of evidence-based actions and results, to the person who presents manifestations and biophysiological, pathophysiological, psychological and socio-cultural signs related to the disease states of greatest incidence and prevalence on the territory according to the national health plan: tumor, cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, infectious, respiratory, metabolic, osteomuscular diseases.
Know the methods for the management of nursing care, from data collection to the evaluation of actions and results, to the elderly person who presents manifestations and signs biophysiological, pathophysiological, psychological and socio-cultural related to states of chronic degenerative disease and other disabling conditions with greater incidence and prevalence on the territory, according to the national health plan of medical interest.
Recognize and maintain the welfare conditions of safety of inpatients in order to prevent accidental events also through the application of risk assessment scales.
Develop manual skills for applying the methods of use of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, according to planned interventions and actions and based on standards and scientific evidence (Professional Laboratory 2).
Apply data collection methods for the identification of nursing needs related to acute and chronic illnesses of medical or surgical relevance and for the planning of nursing care, documenting it according to the theoretical model of reference and evaluating actions and expected results (Professional Laboratory 2).
Perform calculations for the dosing, dilution and administration of active ingredients of drugs and blood products (Professional Laboratory 2).
Apply instruments to assess the clinical condition of the patient (e.g. pain) (Professional Laboratory 2).
