Learning objectives
The professional activities aim to provide students with a general view of the use of diagnostic imaging in everyday clinical practice, with particular focus on their use in the most frequent pathologies of the lung, cardio circulatory system, liver and pancreas, urinary tract, breast and gastro-enteric tract.
The activities are also aimed to transmit the methodological procedure of diagnostic reasoning based on imaging, with on field visualization of diagnostic reasoning based on the most appropriate imaging techniques in the different clinical contexts.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the professional activities the student will have to be able to
· know the different equipment used in Diagnostic Radiology and be able to illustrate the examination to patients
· be able to describe the iconographic aspect of the main pathologies affecting the various organs and systems;
· Know the elements of radiological semeiotics useful to provide information on the nature and staging of lesions affecting the various organs and systems.

See the execution of ultrasound, CT, MRI and traditional radiology exams. Assist in the reporting of the exams performed. Attend the role of the radiologist in the Emergency Department. Attending interventional radiology procedures

Teaching methods
The teacher uses frontal lectures on the different items described in the outline. At the end of each frontal lesson some time is dedicated to questions by the students to promote a better knowledge of difficult aspects of the lesson.
