Pharmaco-Toxicology of Biotechnological Drugs

Learning objectives
The purpose of the course is to introduce the students to the knowledge of how to design, produce and use the new biotechnological drugs (among which also the new generation vaccines). Different aspects will be considered: production, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, pharmacodynamics, possible interactions with other therapies, and use in clinics.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will acquire the knowledge needed to understand how to design, produce, and how the new biotechnological drugs work, how to evaluate their toxicological and interaction profile, and how they can be used in the treatment of several pathologies.
