Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the basics of child neuropsychiatry. Child Neuropsychiatry deals with the neuropsychic development of the child and the adolescent and related diseases. Specific training objectives include the acquisition of knowledge in the following areas:
Normal Development, Epilepsy, Neuromuscolar diseases, Autism spectrum disorder, Anorexia and eating disorders, Adolescent psychopatology, Intellectual disability and learning disorders.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must be able to formulate diagnostic hypotheses for the main pathologies of childhood neuropsychiatry, learn about the main differential diagnoses, learn about diagnostic procedures, the ways to reach them and formulate basic therapeutic proposals. The student will also have to know the normal evolution of the child's psychomotor development and its main stages
