Learning objectives
The principal aim of the Pediatrics course is to inform students about general and specialized pediatrics. For the diseases which have been already studied in other courses, there is a special focus on specific aspects of clinical presentation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment in the pediatric age. Child Neuropsychiatry deals with the neuropsychic development of the child and the adolescent and related diseases.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is supposed to be able to make diagnosis hypothesis, to know the differential diagnosis, the diagnostic procedures, including laboratory diagnosis and imaging, to propose therapies for the most important diseases, including those of childhood neuropsychiatry, in the pediatric age. The student will also have to know the normal evolution of the child's psychomotor development and its main stages.
