Learning objectives
- To provide a solid basic preparation in the path of starting the profession. This incorporates a wide range of themes, from practice advices about bureaucratic, administrative and authorization procedures, to those more closely related to the profession, such as updating, correct communication and all the ethical and deontological aspects.
- To enhance knowledge acquisition and development of application skills related to the organization and management of a private dental practice.
- To orientate Dentistry students towards a global approach to the preservation of patient/citizen's health and towards a management of their profession.

Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and comprehension
The student will have acquired knowledge related to:
- The regulations in force for the opening and management of a dental practice and all the corporate, banking, fiscal and medicolegal aspects
- the functioning of the ordinance and social security system
- the regulations related to privacy and medical devices
- principles and instruments of health information/ communication and professional continuous updating
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
- application of the most appropriate instruments and methodology in order to open and manage a private dental practice
- Adequate use of deontological principles and regulations in force for an integrated approach to the preservation of patient/citizen's health and a management of their profession.
