Landscape Ecology

Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with basics of general ecology, climatology and bio-climatology, pedology and geobotany (flora and vegetation) to address ecological landscape analyses at different spatial and temporal scales. Naturalness, biodiversity and ecosystem services will also be addressed to arrive at the estimation of environmental quality and performance.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will have the basic skills of geobotany and landscape ecology, which will be useful in dealing with spatial and landscape analysis preparatory to design and planning

Assessment methods and Criteria
Individual or group exercise on the ecological analysis of an area of the students' choice and oral questions on theoretical content.
