Lab: Methods for the Study of Health

Learning objectives
The laboratory has a dual objective:
a) to provide knowledge and skills on the topic of public health in the Italian population, in terms of theoretical and empirical tools, through the application of different methodological approaches and techniques of social investigation.
b) to present a socio-historical contextualization of psychophysical well-being, with a focus on social inequalities in health.

Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the laboratory, students should acquire the theoretical and practical tools to: a) understand the topic of health in its multidimensionality, b) be familiar with the main social research techniques in public health issues, c) critically evaluate research methods related to the social study of health, understanding their strengths and weaknesses.
