Learning objectives
The course proposes the knowledge of the functioning of the equipment used in clinical neurophysiology, acquiring the ability to perform in the patient one or more neurophysiological examinations according to a plan prepared by the specialist doctor, acquiring the ability to interpret the results of the neurophysiological examination, to assess their correctness technique, and to draw up a descriptive report, to know the meaning of the various activation procedures or pharmacological interventions that - upon indication of the specialist physician - are functional to the neurophysiological investigation, to know the prevention measures to promote safety for patients, the operators, work environments, being able to provide for the routine maintenance of the equipment on which it operates and to carry out small repairs, to organize its activities correctly using the material and structural resources present in the training locations
Expected learning outcomes
At the end the student will have to know the functioning of the equipment used in clinical neurophysiology, acquire the ability to perform in the patient one or more neurophysiological examinations according to a plan prepared by the specialist doctor, acquire the ability to interpret the results of the neurophysiological examination, to evaluate them the technical correctness, and to draw up a descriptive report, to know the meaning of the various activation procedures or pharmacological interventions that - upon indication of the specialist doctor - are functional to the neurophysiological investigation, to know the prevention measures to promote safety for patients , the operators, the work environments, being able to provide for the routine maintenance of the equipment on which it operates and to perform small repairs, to organize its activities correctly using the material and structural resources present in the placement stages.

Course syllabus and organization

Course syllabus
- Acquire knowledge of the functioning of the equipment used in clinical neurophysiology.
- Acquire the ability to perform one or more neurophysiological tests in the patient according to a plan prepared by the specialist doctor.
- Acquire the skills to interpret the results of the neurophysiological examination, to evaluate their technical correctness, and to draw up a descriptive report.
- Know the meaning of the various activation procedures or pharmacological interventions that - upon indication of the specialist doctor - are functional to the neurophysiological investigation.
- Know the preventive measures to promote safety for patients, operators, workplaces.
- Be able to carry out routine maintenance of the equipment on which it operates and to carry out small repairs.
- Organize your activities using the material and structural resources present in the internships correctly
Prerequisites for admission
Knowledge of theoretical and technical neurophysiological subjects is required
Teaching methods
The method of delivery of the course is based on participation in internship activities in hospitals and services affiliated with the Degree Course.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The assessment of skills by the student will be achieved through the preparation of a form specifically created for the assessments of the internship.
The evaluation will result in an evaluation out of thirty.
