Course syllabus
The course will set up the machinery for dealing with compactly generated triangulated categories: Brown representability, Bousfield localization, the Thomason-Trobaugh theorem. And then it will cover very recent improvements, leading to the notion of approximability in triangulated categories.
Prerequisites for admission
No formal prerequisites. However, a familiarity with homological algebra, commutative algebra and algebraic geometry is recommended.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of an oral test during which you will be asked to illustrate some results of the teaching program in order to evaluate your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered, as well as your ability to apply them in some exercises.
