Geomorphological Hazards and Risks for Landscape and Geoheritage Management
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
The course is aimed at:
1) preparing the student to carry out territorial and land analyses in relation to geomorphological hazards (driven by both natural and anthropic causes), that insist in different environmental contexts, identifying the elements of territorial vulnerability and possible geomorphological risk scenarios;
2) providing the student with tools useful to identify the main criticalities, particularly in urbanised areas, in order to contribute to proposals for geomorphological risk mitigation and geo-conservation.

Expected learning outcomes
1)Knowing how to recognise the different types of geomorphological hazards in natural and urbanised environments; 2) Knowing how to read geomorphological, hazard and geomorphological risk maps; 3) Knowing how to identify the possible effects of human activities on geomorphological processes; 4) Knowing how to identify among the components of vulnerability the elements of geomorphological and geocultural heritage subject to potential degradation; 4) Knowing how to tackle a practical problem related to a specific area using appropriate methods and tools.
