Formulation and Production Development of Medicinal Products with Laboratory of Pilot-Plant Manufacturing
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
The student will be guided through the entire cycle of development of a specific dosage form, starting from the design, and formulation steps to the manufacturing as well as quality control phases. This process will be carried out considering both traditional and innovative manufacturing processes and also integrating the principles of the quality by design approach. By participating to hands-on experiments on pilot-scale equipment, the students will acquire practical expertise in setting up different pharmaceutical operations, applying the concepts explained during the lessons.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will acquire a thorough understanding of formulation, manufacturing and quality control aspects relevant to medicinal products and will be able to envisage development strategies for specific products.
