Learning objectives
The student must demonstrate that he has acquired theoretical-practical and technical-operative knowledge and skills of the specific professional profile; the ability to identify problems, to make decisions on professional problems, to identify priorities for individual patients, groups or work processes, to plan and to decide interventions on the basis of available evidence and organizational conditions, to act in safety, considering ethical, deontological and legal dimensions in one's actions; to demonstrate orientation to inter-professional practice, to evaluate effects on patients.
Expected learning outcomes
The student is able to prepare a manuscript (thesis) proving his ability to apply original ideas in the context of biomedical and translational research.

Prerequisites for admission
The student must have all professional knowledges acquired by all exams foreseen in the study plan. In particular, the student is admitted to the final exam after having successfully passed examinations of all the training and internship activities provided for in the study plan, for a total of 173 CFU.
Teaching methods
The practical test consists of closed-ended and open-ended questions on clinical cases or paradigmatic situations of professional practice
Passing the practical test is subject to the achievement of an assessment of sufficiency expressed in numerical terms of at least 6/10. Failure to pass the practical test does not allow admission to the oral discussion of the thesis.
To complete the final exam, the graduate student presents his thesis paper, prepared under the supervision of the supervisor, identified among teachers of the degree course, who checks and certifies the work done. The thesis work allows the student to identify and treat a problem of interest to the pediatric nursing discipline through the application of the research method, from the theoretical procedure to the practical procedure, and to reach conclusions with methodological rigor. On the day of presentation of the thesis papers, at the end of each individual presentation, the President and / or the individual members of the Commission intervene with questions for clarification and insights for each candidate.
For the final definition of the graduation grade, expressed out of 110, 0 - 10 points are available to the commission, attributable to the thesis on the basis of interest, commitment and individual skills demonstrated by the graduate. Honors can be attributed, on the proposal of the President, with the unanimous opinion of the Commission, to candidates who achieve the final score of 110/110

Teaching Resources
All the material already indicated to the student during the three years of course. For the written work, the student, under the guidance of the supervisor, will have to independently search for the bibliography related to the topic assigned for the written work.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The final exam of the degree course consists of two different evaluation moments, that is a practical test and a test that consists in the preparation of the thesis and the consequent dissertation.
Dates of the final graduation exam test and the composition of the examining commission are approved in advance by the Interdepartmental Academic Board of the degree course.
The commission for the final exam is composed according to paragraph 4, of art. 7 of DI 19/02/2009, of no less 7 and no more than 11 members, appointed by the Rector on the proposal of the Academic Board of the degree course and always includes 2 effective members and 1 alternate, representatives of the Order of Nursing Professions of Milan - Lodi - Monza Brianza.
