Final Exam
A.Y. 2024/2025
Learning objectives
Aim of the final exam - which includes the development of an experimental research project, in the production of a written dissertation, and in its oral presentation and critical discussion - is to provide students with a deep and factual understanding of the scientific method in the biological field and of its practical application to nutritional and food-related topics.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the activities related to the final exam, students should have acquired the ability to define and deepen a scientific problem, to design an experimental strategy to address it, to carry out the experimental activities needed, and to interpret their results. Students - thanks to the laboratory and/or clinical activities performed, mainly within a structured research team - should have acquired the ability to link novel results from an experimental research in the field of biology to what was already established in the scientific community, to communicate effectively in written and oral form biological and nutritional notions, and to tackle, during their future professional career, the study of emerging nutritional and food-related issues.
