Learning objectives
The course is intended to address ethical-deontological issues pertaining to the health care field and to provide students with a general knowledge of the principles and moral theories of biomedical ethics in clinical practice. The course will provide the tools to discern the complex ethical-deontological issues raised by the profession and to manage related clinical care implications.
Expected learning outcomes
At the completion of the course, students will be familiar with the principles of biomedical ethics and will be able to identify ethical and deontological dilemmas that may arise in professional clinical practice and to apply ethical principles and professional values in their relationship with the person receiving care, with colleagues, and in different operative settings.
