Learning objectives
Clinical pharmacology is a scientific discipline that, through a system of technical-scientific rules and guidelines, aims to assess the quality, safety and efficacy of a medicine. The objectives of the course are: -Know the essential characteristics of clinical trials and gain experience in critical analysis of the related scientific literature. - Learn basic concepts in the design of protocols, clinical studies and how to formulate the hypotheses to be verified. -Know the basic concepts of pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and drug use in order to apply the correct methods according to the object of analysis.
Expected learning outcomes
Acquisition of experience in the interpretation of scientific literature on clinical trials. - Learning the scientific bases in the design of clinical studies. - Understanding of basics on pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and drug utilisation. The evaluation of the learning will take place through an oral exam, in which the learning of the treated topics will be evaluated. The exam can last up to 30 minutes and up to five questions related to the program will be asked.
