Learning objectives
In the 2nd year during the clinical practice, the student acquires the following skills:
-to record the biometric parameters by completing the periodontal chart;
-to perform professional supragingival oral hygiene;
-to motivate the patient towards home oral hygiene.
The student also practices to carry out strategies for decays prevention such as fluoroprophylaxis and dental groove sealings.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the second year the clinical practice, the student will be able to perform the following procedures:
· Fill in a Periodontal chart.
· Perform fluoride prophylaxis and dental groove sealing.
· Give adequate instructions for home oral hygiene.
· Perform professional tooth debridement and supragingival scaling.
