The purpose of the course is:
- to know and to acquire the diagnostic and rehabilitative abilities in oral and written language disorders in adulthood due to alterations of the auditory (deafness), cognitive (dementia, head trauma), relational or socio-cultural systems
- to know and to acquire diagnostic and rehabilitative skills in oral and written language disorders in the developmental age due to alterations of the auditory (infantile deafness), cognitive (mental retardation), relational (pervasive developmental disorders) or socio-cultural (environmental deprivation , bi-multi-linguism) systems.

At the end of the course the student will have to demonstrate to have acquired knowledge and understanding skills related to
methodologies, tools and procedures for data collection, rehabilitative intervention and scientific evidence that guide the decision-making in the field of secondary linguistic disorders in developmental and adult age based on the Evidence Based Medicine.
