Teaching Workshop: Philosophy Workshop in the Prison of Opera 1
A.Y. 2023/2024
Learning objectives
The workshop aims to provide an introduction to women's political thought through the analysis of three classic texts: Moderata Fonte's "Il merito delle donne," Olympe de Gouge's "Déclaration des droits de la femme et de la citoyenne," and Kimberlé Crenshaw's "Mapping the Margins: Intersectionality, Identity Politics, and Violence against Women of Color."
These texts will be contextualized and examined in dialogue with the students participating in the workshop. Debates, group work, and oral presentations will be prioritized over other teaching methods to enhance students' abilities in selecting, organizing, and disseminating the information received and the content learned. This approach aims to foster a more conscious and critical reflection on gender issues.
