Learning objectives
The course aims to explain the basic concepts and principles for a full understanding of the national and european legal system and of the deontological rules in the fields of interest for biology graduates. Furthermore the course aims to introduce the students to the principal questions of bioethics, especially
for relationship between scientific research and human life and for current issues about animal and environmental ethics.The fundamental aim of the course is to give the students the necessary tools to understand the legal system and to develop a personal critic idea on controversial issues of public bioethics.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will acquire:
knowledge of the basic concepts of the legal italian system (Constitution, national parliamentary and governmental laws, european laws);
legal frame of the activity of biologist and deontological rules;
knowledge of the principal issues ot bioethics.
