Learning objectives
The course aims at teaching the main wireless communication architectures and protocols. It is paid much attention to the application part with practical examples and laboratory.

Ability to choose between different network architectures
Ability to interpret a problem (Inherent communication) with the formulation of a solution

The course is divided in five parts:

2) Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN)

3) Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
- WiFi (802.11)
4) Mobile Network
- Introduction to Mobile Networks

5) Satellite communication
- LEO, MEO, GEO
Prerequisites for admission
It is required the knowledge of the fundamental notions of algorithms, operative systems, computer architectures, and computer networks, all of which are covered by the relative courses in Bachelor program in Computer Science.

Written exam comprising open questions and exercises
The evaluation takes into account the level of the knowledge of the different topics, the quality of the writing and the ability of using the right terms in the right context.
Marks are expressed on a scale of 30.
