Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the grammatical and syntactic structures of Spanish language, under a B1-level (intermediate) under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). At the same time, students will be opened to the current Spanish economic and socio-political conditions under the perspective of its international relations. In this last regard, the mains learning tolls will be documents and press coverage in Spanish.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will acquire key concepts in specific professional fields, the necessary lexical ability to communicate them to skilled and unskilled audiences, the ability for a critical analysis of current Spain international affairs. Students will be able to read, understand and translate averagely difficult texts and to develop professional speaking skills.

No prior knowledge is required

The course includes lectures and exercises (grammar; understanding, analysis and translation of specialized texts).

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of a computerized grammar test and a short assay
The computerized grammar test (closed-ended questions: multiple choice and completion of sentences), aimed at verifying the knowledge of grammatical and syntactic structures. The test lasts 30 minutes; if you get 18 correct answers, you have access to the second part.
The essay in Spanish focuses on the materials and study articles contained in the online lecture notes (created by the teacher, published on: https://plataformaesspo.ariel.ctu.unimi.it), with the aim of verifying that the student knows express themselves clearly and precisely, using the appropriate terminology, and know how to make their own judgment regarding the materials studied.
The grammar test is preparatory for second part which must be taken on the same day.
NO DIPLOMA WILL BE RECOGNISED
