Landscape Planning

The course aims to provide the students with knowledge to deal with rural areas analysis and planning, with the relative implications for the environment and the landscape, and the landscape and green areas design. The course aims to provide the students with the cultural, normative, methodological and technical bases to deal with - also in multidisciplinary teams - the problems of landscape and environmental planning and design.

At the end of the course, the students will have the following learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of the cultural bases of landscape planning and design;
- knowledge of reference norms, with particular regards to the Lombardy Region legislation;
- knowledge of methodologies, procedures and techniques to analyse and evaluate the rural landscape and environment;
- knowledge of methodologies, theoretical approaches and operational techniques to analyse and design the green areas and the landscape;
- ability to elaborate, critically analyse and discuss of green area projects;
- Knowledge of some practical example cases.
