Learning objectives
The course provides the basic knowledge of mendelian, population, quantitative and molecular genetics applied to livestock production.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will own the basic knowledge of selection programs implemented in livestock populations. They will be able to use the available tools in order to operate selection or individuals in livestock, being aware of the basic principles of Mendelian and quantitative genetics behind the ongoing selection programs.
