Learning objectives
The course aims to present the main roles of the professionals who work in areas where the application of rules for the protection of animal welfare is relevant, with particular reference to animal husbandry and animal research.
Expected learning outcomes
Sudents will acquire knowledge about the application of professional expertise in the field of animal welfare, with reference to the main areas of interest for graduates in ABA and SPA.

Themed seminars, proposed from among the following subjects:
-professional figures in the field of animal transport.
-professional figures in the field of breeding and boarding for companion animals
-professional figures in the field of animal experimentation.
-the protection of fish species
-the role of the competent authority
- the role of animal rangers
-the welfare of fur animals
-the in situ and ex situ protection of exotic and wild species
-the drawing up of technical reports
-the fundamentals of animal ethics, useful for professional figures engaged in protecting animal welfare.
Additional topics can be assessed by the teacher during the course.
