Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to present the main logics and tools for research in the social sciences. The lessons will be oriented to the acquisition of methodological skills for the analysis of the labour market and organizational contexts in order to lay the foundations for project management. The course will therefore focus on how to analyse the main phenomena that are the subject of human resources organization. Phenomena with specific characteristics that need to be analysed with appropriate tools and logics.
After an initial presentation of the main analytical paradigms of social sciences, the lectures will focus on how a research project is defined and the main techniques for collecting and processing detected information. For this purpose, the main phases of research design (both quantitative and qualitative), how research objectives are empirically operated, the main techniques (questions, data collection, data collection) will be presented. in-depth interviews, etc.) and data analysis.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be learned the main methods and epistemologies for the analysis of the organizational contexts and relationships that take place within them. Moreover, they should be able to describe the characteristics of a research project on social issues and to understand how to apply the various methodological approaches in the future work contexts where students will be located.
