Economic and Financial Crime

Learning objectives
The course aims to focus on the dynamics put in place by organized crime, increasingly addressed to an economic and financial dimension. It will be shown that the economic dimension does not question the violent nature of the organization that acts by interacting with parallel worlds that have become strategic, if not indispensable, to the pursuit of its objectives. Part of the course will be dedicated to the normative instruments of aggression, particularly adapted to reduce the phenomenon of criminal investments.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired knowledge of the sociological, historical and juridical aspects of the phenomenon as a whole and will have developed skills in the identification of the peculiar traits of mafia-type organized crime.
