Learning objectives
The course provide students with methods and experimental activities for multimedia libraries' exploiting, such as large archives of textual documents, audio and video files, still images mostly related ot the cultural heritage. Particular attention is given to advanced technologies for man-machine interaction and interoperability.
Expected learning outcomes
Computer methods for exploiting multimedia archives. Design and ptotypal development of software applications for exploting the cultural heritage.

It is strongly suggested to follow the course on Multimedial Techa Organization and Digitalization beforehand.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The examination consists an oral discussion about an individual project.
The project test consists in the development of individual projects concerning methods, techniques, and software tools for digitizing and exploiting the cultural heritage considered in the frame of experimental training activities of the course.
