Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the basic notions of areas of Archival Studies, their historical development, the Italian archival regulations and organization as well as the different types of research tools and the phases and problems of the reorganization and description of the archives.
Expected learning outcomes
The student is expected to be able to find his way through the different archives' conservation institutes and among the multiple research tools, and to assimilate the most relevant aspects of good practices for a suitable physical conservation of traditional and photographic documents. The student must be able to communicate clearly and correctly the contents learned and have a fair command of the specialized vocabulary of the subject.
