Law and Humanities Library: reopening of the Sala del Settecento

The Sala del Settecento — one of the reading rooms of the Law and Humanities Library (BSGU) — is officially reopening on 4 November 2024.

The room is located on the first underground floor of the Via Festa del Perdono 3 building. Standard opening hours will be 9 am - 7 pm from Monday to Friday.

On 4 November only, the room is open from 3 pm to 7 pm and no booking is required.

With over five thousand metres of bookshelves, the Sala del Settecento offers comfortable and functional spaces for studying and researching, 110 seats over two rooms (A and B), a bibliographic information service, a self-checkout station and photocopiers. As for all libraries which are part of the University Library Service, seats have to be booked via the LezioniUnimi app or the dedicated website.

The reopening of the Sala del Settecento is part of a larger renovation project involving the whole Law and Humanities Library. The goal of the project, which started in January 2023 with the reopening of the Sala Centrale, is to turn the BSGU into a multi-location library.
