Transferring from another university
How to transfer

In order to transfer to this University, students enrolled at other universities must verify that they can enrol at the University of Milan and submit a transfer application to their home university.

Transferring to a Bachelor's or single-cycle degree programme

All those who intend to transfer to a Bachelor's or single-cycle Master's degree programme must comply with the procedures and deadlines set out in the call for applications to the target programme, which will specify waivers from test and assessment requirements, if any.

Enrolment

If the call for applications does not provide any specific procedures for transfers, once you have passed the selection process, you may enrol using the online procedure within the deadlines set by the call.

During the online procedure, select "Enrolment with transfer from another university" and upload the following:

  • self-certification of previous university studies
  • receipt of the transfer application submitted to your home university
Request for previous academic records assessment

The request for previous academic records assessment must be submitted only if required by the call for applications, and only for Bachelor's and single-cycle degree programmes. Please review the call for applications for the deadlines and any transcript requirements.

For the request for previous academic records assessment a 75 Euro fee is due.

Recognition of prior learning: special cases

Students admitted to the following programmes: Medicine and SurgeryInternational Medical School, Dental Medicine, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes for Healthcare professions, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes of the School of Exercise and Sports Sciences, Medical Biotechnology, Psychological Sciences for Prevention and TreatmentMedical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine, Biomedical Omics, Psychology in Healthcare, are required to follow a different procedure for the recognition of prior learning. They must send through the online service InformaStudenti the following documents no later than 18 October 2024:

  • The Request form filled and signed, stating the request for the recognition of prior learning
  • Signed Self-certification of the exams for which recognition is requested
  • Course programs (Syllabus) for which recognition is requested, downloaded from Universities websites (programs copied on Microsoft Word won't be accepted).

In no case will paper documents be accepted at the Registrars offices.

Students with ordinary Enrolment (not as a second degree or by transfer) are required to pay a €75.00 fee for exam recognition, to be paid via online services - payment Services - fees for office services.

The documents sent will be forwarded to the competent Academic Board for evaluation and subsequent validation resolution.

Transferring to a Master's degree programme

All those who intend to transfer to a Master's degree programme must comply with the procedures and deadlines for admission to the target programme.

Once admitted, you may enrol using the online procedure within the deadlines set in the call for applications or the Study Programme.

During the online procedure, select "Enrolment with transfer from another university" and upload the following:

  • self-certification of previous university studies
  • receipt of the transfer application submitted to your home university
