Learning objectives
Building on recent advancements in finance and sustainability, the course offers students the opportunity to apply financial tools and quantitative methods to address complex social and environmental challenges. The course will begin with an overview of the financial system. It will then address the various ways in which sustainability considerations affect financial markets and agents. Particular attention will be devoted to quantitative aspects, including ESG ratings and other sustainability indicators. The course will also provide an overview of recent policy and regulatory developments. Finally, the course will examine recent advancements in sustainable finance, including relevant financial tools.
Expected learning outcomes
Participants in this course will learn how the financial system and its agents can contribute to sustainable growth. They will develop the ability to leverage the opportunities offered by sustainable finance solutions, in line with the most recent regulations. Students will also acquire knowledge of the key aspects to be measured and disclosed for sustainability.
